Desiner / Masako Imoto “leur logette” is a coined French phrase meaning “their little room” or “getaway.” The brand’s creations balance familiar ambience with enduring new sensibilities, and feature unfailing dedication poured extravagantly into every detail. ¦Enchanted by the dazzlingly detailed handiwork of vintage wear
“leur logette” unfurls a unique vision under the twin premises of comfort and quality in its garments. Utilizing original fabrics and prints created from the thread-up as well as antique materials found abroad, the label incorporates dedication and innovation into every aspect of its items.
At the root of this is designer Masako Imoto’s love for the vintage fashion of the 1940’s.
The brand’s love for carefully-constructed vintage with calculated silhouettes and production unsparing of time and detailed handiwork shows through in its craftsmanship.
“We never want to make apparel that is only good for one season. Our aim is to offer items that can be worn for years yet still feel in-tune with the times, or even if they aren’t still maintain a treasured place in their owners’ closets.”
Since its founding in 2002“leur logette” has always considered making quality clothing to be impossible without communication.
“It’s been seven years since our debut. We’ve been able to make it this far thanks to the help of our weavers, thread makers, patterners, and many others. This is why we emphasize creating items that will please everyone who contributed rather than simply trying to make things that will sell.”
The brand’s first international presentation was at a group exhibition in Paris in October, 2008, and interacting with designers and buyers from around the world there provided them with even greater motivation.
“Japan really excels in terms of craftsmanship, so we hope to continue to create new items while keeping our production here at home.”
