Background
Japan has a unique aesthetic that draws on reverence for nature that also produces a highly distinctive approach to creation. Thanks to this sensitivity, there have been many fashion designers that have found fame in Paris, with Kenzo Takada as a forerunner, and legendary designers like Issey Miyake, Rei Kawakubo, Yohji Yamamoto and couturier Hanae Mori further cementing the connection.
Now, an exciting new generation of creators are once again causing a stir in the fashion world.
